2020 Toyota Corolla | Hillside Toyota
It’s been quite a few years since the launch of Toyota Corolla, which rose to fame owing to its above-the-line specifications and superior on-road performance. Now the carmaker is taking this model a step ahead with the launch of the 2020 Corolla, which is a redesigned sedan that car buyers have been eagerly waiting for. Here's what you should expect from the new Toyota Corolla:
The new Toyota Corolla may have a lower roofline than its predecessor, but it does not show any sign of compromise with cabin space. The car provides plenty of headroom, rear space, and legroom. At the same time, drivers can expect a comfortable position thanks to the well-placed front seat.
The 2020 Corolla does not follow the footsteps of most rivals—designing a car that’s bigger than the original version. Instead, the carmaker redesigned its creation with the same wheelbase, which measures 106.3 inches. What has changed is the roof, which is 0.8 inches lower, the center of gravity, which is 0.4 inches lower and the front overhang, which is 1.3 inches shorter.
Although not many details are available regarding the fuel economy of the new Toyota Corolla, you can expect to see more fuel saving than its preceding model. The carmaker also plans to launch a hybrid version of the 2020 model, and given their history with hybrids, the new Corolla is poised to be the quickest and most fuel-efficient version.
Compared to the old Corolla, the 2020 Corolla takes on-road safety a notch higher with its Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 (TSS 2.0). Besides stability control, eight airbags, anti-lock brakes, and traction control, the model comes with lane departure alert and automatic emergency braking. These advanced safety features are great for the price you pay.
Last but certainly not the least, the new Toyota Corolla comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, which is equipped with an advanced infotainment system. The car is beautifully packed with Amazon Alexa integration, Apple CarPlay support, in-car WiFi and multiple USB ports. The higher trim levels have a nine-speaker audio system from JBL. Toyota recently unwrapped the 2020 Toyota Corolla sedan in California at the Los Angeles Auto Show. You will also find the 2020 corolla in Jamaica soon.
